The method itself
Step 1
Before you start, you should turn on your flat iron, especially if it is not of the good ones that heat up quite fast, but are a bit slow. And then while you are waiting for it to be ready to do its job, brush your hair well. It is not necessary, of course, but it is always better to brush your hair before you start doing any kind of hairstyle.
Step 2
Then part your hair right in the middle of your head. You should have two equally big sections of hair, one of each side of your head.

Now get the first section of hair and start twisting it round. Hold it a bit tight, and then secure it with one of the elastic bands at the end. Repeat the same thing on the other section of hair. Or you could first work on this one if you are worried that the twist may fall apart, and only then twist the other section of hair.
Step 4
And now the main thing you have to do. Once you are ready with the twist and the flat iron is heated enough (make sure that it is warm enough, because if it is not, the method may not work), and then you can move on to making waves. Get the flat iron and slide it down the section of hair, the way it is twisted. You can do this a couple of times, or just slide it down slowly.
Step 5
Do not remove the hair bands once you are finished with the flat iron. First wait for your hair to cool down, and then remove them. And this way you will have wavy hair in no time. Of course, do not expect curls, it would take much more effort to have them, but waves are much faster to achieve.
