Warts are benign (not cancerous) skin growths that appear when a virus infects the top layer of the skin. They can appear at some unpleasant places such as neck area.
Viruses that cause warts are called human papillomavirus (HPV). You are more likely to get one of these viruses if you cut or damage your skin in some way.
They are unsightly and potentially embarrassing. They are small and shaped like a tiny flap or tag of skin and they are the same color as your skin. So people often want to get rid of them.
How to get rid of small warts?
First, you need to see your doctor to check if that is a wart for sure and not a skin tag because they also appear on the neck area and can look like warts. But, they require another treatment.
Some of the most common home remedy that helps us to remove warts on the neck is garlic. Garlic has antiviral, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties which fight the viral infections that are the main reason for the appearance of warts.
Cut a few garlic cloves, apply it to the warts and cover with a bandage.
Leave it to stand for half an hour and rinse it off with water.
Repeat this procedure 2 times a day for 2 weeks to get desirable results.
The caustic effect of the garlic will cause the wart to blister and fall off in as little as one week.
Note: Apply new garlic every day, and make sure to avoid contact with the surrounding healthy skin.
Important:
Warts can be spread to other parts of the body, and they are contagious to others. If it is required to rub the wart with pumice stone or fingernail file that utensil can’t be used on another body part, and do not allow anyone else to use it.
If you are diabetic do not treat warts on your feet and make sure to go to your doctor.
Do not try to remove warts on your face or another sensitive part (such as genitals, mouth, or nostrils) of your body with at-home treatments.
